Gates of Hell Will Not Prevail

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life: notes that when our Lord said to Peter "The gates of Hell will not prevail against the Church", he meant that the Church is to be on the offensive. It is not the Gates that are attacking Christians / the Church. Christians taking an active pro-life stand will prevail against Satan's gates of abortion, eugenics and euthanasia.

New Audio Surfaces of Obama Defending Infanticide in Illinois That President Barack Obama was the only member of the Illinois legislature to not support a bill to provide medical care for newborns who survived failed late-term abortions is one of the key reasons pro-life voters will never support him. Now, Weekly Standard reporter John McCormack has uncovered new audio of Obama, as a state legislator in Illinois in 2003, defending his position. Obama essentially argues that there is no need for the law because he trusts abortion practitioners to provide medical care for the baby they unsuccessfully tried to kill in an abortion. Read More

As Someone Born After Rape, I Say Todd Akin Shouldn’t Step Aside ‘Tis the season to be wearing tread marks. Congressman Todd Akins has crawled out from under the bus, brushed himself off and is standing firm. A few ill-chosen words expressing a more-common-than-acknowledged misunderstanding of a woman’s biological response to rape have caused him and those harmed by such a violent act, without pause, to be thrown under the bus. And, quite frankly, I’m glad such a pro-family, pro-life stalwart, despite a few bumps and lots of scrapes, is not quitting under pressure from hypocritical pro-abortion radicals and spineless Republicans. Pro-Lifers Will Have a Friend in the White House in Paul Ryan When Paul Ryan first ran for Congress in 1998, he was a very young 28 — boyish and eager. He came to a Wisconsin Right to Life interview with his clean-cut button-down shirt and fresh approach to public life. WRTL-PAC endorsed him for his fervent and sincere right-to-life convictions, but thought him perhaps too young to succeed. But succeed he did and Ryan has been over-achieving ever since. Who is Paul Ryan? Fervently pro-life, amiable, tons of character, principled, honest, charismatic, man of integrity, fantastic communicator, devoted husband and father. This is the man we met in 1998 and he has not changed, just grown in stature and maturity. People know Paul Ryan and like him. All of these qualities have allowed him to continue to be re-elected with over 60% of the vote in a district that is, at best, a “swing district” but mostly Democratic. Read More
