Stand Up For the Children!

Editor's Note: While the following actions are very important, the issue will first be if Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will even bring the House bill to the Senate Floor for a vote. Dingy Harry tends to do whatever President Obama wishes. And President Obama has verbally "blessed" Planned Parenthood and even had the audacity to seek God's Blessing on Planned Parenthood.

Brian Burch, CatholicVote: What would Planned Parenthood do?

Imagine if the House had just passed a nationwide pro-abortion law.

But the votes in the Senate looked difficult...

Would they give up? Chalk it up as a waste of time? Heck no, they wouldn’t. We both know they would redouble their efforts and mount an even bigger campaign.

Thankfully, the opposite came true. Last night the House voted 228-196 to pass a strong pro-life bill which bans abortions after 20 weeks.

Now it’s time to put some heat on the Senate.

Let's be honest, Senator Reid and his colleagues will do everything they can to prevent this bill from coming to a vote. Many Senators want to completely ignore the reality that unborn children suffer pain, and that other Kermit Gosnells are lurking, exploiting countless women across the country.

But we won't give up just because the votes look difficult.

But we won't give up just because the votes look difficult.

We must demand a vote, and refuse to shut up until we get one. And if we lose, we take that record to the voters to build a majority that will get this law passed.

So right now our focus is on four Democrats who are up for reelection next year in states with a pro-life majority. These “red-state Democrats” are Kay Hagan of North Carolina, Mark Begich of Alaska, Mark Pryor of Arkansas, and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana.

If Planned Parenthood were in our shoes, they would get a vote. So should we.

Remember again what we are fighting for.

We can't stop now.
