Stoplight: 'Houston, We Have a Freedom'

CitizenLink Team:  Take Action: The mayor of Houston is demanding that some local preachers hand over their sermon notes, emails, text messages and more. Send her a note through our Action Center asking her to leave the pastors alone.

In his Stoplight® commentary, Stuart Shepard explains the real issue: The mayor apparently does not want any public opposition to her decision to add “gender identity” to a city ordinance. So, she had her attorneys send subpoenas to the ministers demanding every communication they may have made concerning the ordinance and a petition drive to undo what the mayor did. And, yes, it includes a request for their sermons.

The pastors say that change to the ordinance puts women at risk, and they found 50,000 people in Houston who were willing to sign the petitions.

After you watch the video, please send a note to the mayor through our Action Center. We’ve already written it for you. And be sure to share the link with your friends. The mayor needs to hear from America.
