Hillary Clinton: "Religious Biases Have To Be Changed."

Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt, PhD, Praying In Jesus Name: : Christian Colleges may be forced to endorse gay "marriage" or lose their tax-exempt status, attorneys for the Obama Administration admitted during oral arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Fox News points to an "exchange between Justice Samuel Alito and the administration's top lawyer, Solicitor General Donald Verrilli. Alito asked if, in the event the Supreme Court holds that there is a constitutional right to same-sex marriage, would religious colleges risk losing their tax-exempt status if they continued to advocate for traditional marriage only.

Obama's lawyer Verrilli responded, "I don't deny that ... It is going to be an issue."

Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton seemed to agree, that religious people must change their mind. Just days ago, speaking at the Women in the World Summit 2016, Democratic contender Hillary Clinton said, "Deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed."

"The statement sparked concern among those who believe the federal government should not be in the business of using its significant leverage to coerce others to adhere to any specific viewpoint."

The IRS has already been under fire for pressuring Christian or conservative groups, and revoking or delaying tax-exempt status.

"When asked to explain Verrilli’s comment, the White House referred Fox News to the Justice Department, which also declined comment and suggested contacting the IRS.The IRS did not immediately respond."

Here is a startling admission that Democrats, including President Obama's lawyer and Hillary Clinton, want to convert Christians or people of faith, using government power. If the Supreme Court legalizes homosexual "marriage" Obama's IRS will use the tax-code to punish Christian colleges who refuse to endorse sin.

Justice Kennedy: Marriage "Definition has been with us for millenia."
"In oral arguments at the U.S. Supreme Court...about whether the Constitution’s 14th Amendment requires states to license homosexual marriages and recognize such marriages from states where they are legal, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Anthony Kennedy noted that the pro-gay marriage petitioners were asking the court to decide to fundamentally change the institution of marriage," reports CNS News.

"Justice Anthony Kennedy interrupted, saying that the institution of marriage being defined as the union of a man and a woman has been around for 'millennia.'

"This definition has been with us for millennia," Kennedy said. "And it’s … it’s very difficult for the court to say, oh, well, we -- we know better."

"This exchange took place while the court considered the first of two questions it will answer in its ruling on the case: 'Does the Fourteenth Amendment require a state to license a marriage between two people of the same sex?'

"The second question is: 'Does the Fourteenth Amendment require a state to recognize a marriage between two people of the same sex when their marriage was lawfully licensed and performed out of state?'"

"A decision is expected by June."

We must pray for Justice Kennedy, who will likely have the swing vote. But regardless of the Supreme Court's ruling, the definition of marriage will not change in the mind of Almighty God. Jesus defined marriage between one man and one woman in Matthew 19, and He will judge us all in the end.]

Let's ask Congress to protect marriage between one man and one woman.

Marine Kicked Out Over Bible Verse

Marines praying.
by Morgan Mayhew, Libert yNews Now: Lance Corporal Monifa Sterling military career ended on February 1, 2014 when she was convicted at a court-martial at Camp Lejune, North Carolina for refusing to obey an order from a staff sergeant to remove a slightly altered the Old Testament Bible verse “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” from her desk.

According to her staff sergeant, the Scripture verse needed to be removed because it “could easily be seen as contrary to good order and discipline” of the Corps.

For refusing to obey the order, the Corps found Sterling guilty of “failing to go to her appointed place of duty, disrespect toward a superior commissioned officer, and four specifications of disobeying the lawful order of a noncommissioned officer.” As punishment, the court gave Sterling a bad conduct discharge and a reduction in rank from lance corporal to private.

Presently, Sterling is unemployed and looking for work – a situation made more difficult by virtue of her bad conduct discharge from the military.

This past week, Sterling’s case came to the attention of the Liberty Institute and volunteer attorney Paul Clement. According to a statement the Liberty Institute’s website:
“Clement has asked the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (CAAF) – the highest military court whose cases are subject to review by the Supreme Court of the United States – to review the case of Lance Corporal (LCpl) Monifa Sterling, USMC. LCpl Sterling was convicted at a court-martial for putting a Bible verse on her computer when she was stationed at Camp Lejune, North Carolina.
After being criminally prosecuted by the United States Government, LCpl Sterling initially represented herself, then appealed her case to the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals.

She again cited her First Amendment rights to religious expression, as well as her protection under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). RFRA is a vital law that has been used in court to protect religious liberty in various contexts.”
In the face of certain defeat, Sterling sought out the Liberty Institute and the help of former U.S. Solicitor General Paul Clement, also a law professor at Georgetown University. In subsequent filings, the Liberty Institute said:“…both the trial and the appellate court said RFRA did not apply because displaying a Bible verse does not constitute religious exercise. Sterling and her attorneys take issue with this opinion.”According to Liberty Institute Director of Military Affairs and Senior Counsel Mike Berry:“If the government can order a Marine not to display a Bible verse, they could try and order her not to get a religious tattoo, or go to church on Sunday.” “Restricting a Marine’s free exercise of religion is blatantly unconstitutional.”Liberty Institute, and its stable of volunteer attorney’s including Paul Clement, has argued over 75 cases in the U.S. Supreme Court including the recent Hobby Lobby victory that held the abortion mandate in the Obamacare law unconstitutional because it violated the freedom of conscience rights of companies and individuals who oppose paying for abortion services or drugs on religious grounds. With this experience as a guide, Clement is now asking the court to rule that the appellate court should have applied RFRA in LCpl Sterling’s case, protecting her right to post Bible verses as a form of religious exercise.

A decision that RFRA should have been applied would set a major precedent that could be used to protect others in the military who desire to express their faith while serving their country.

The controversy is also puzzling in this respect. The military career of every U.S. Marine begins with this Oath of Office:“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;

that I take this obligation freely; and without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter; So help me God.”
What part of “So help me God”…“could easily be seen as contrary to good order and discipline” of the Corps?

World Health Organization Calls for "Non-Professional" Sex Counseling for Teens

by Rebecca Oas, Ph.D: The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued guidance proposing that adolescents should get sexual information from non-professionals without either parental consent or the protections of a typical counseling structure. The guidance comes as Health ministers from around the world meet in Geneva this week to make decisions about global health policy for the coming year.

The WHO guidance paper calls for the “opportunistic use of counseling skills” by healthcare providers at all levels – including those who are not professional counselors. These “brief sexuality-related communications,” or BSCs, would take place at the initiation of the health worker, without having established a formal trust-based counseling relationship with the patient, and without any expectation of follow-up later.

To that end, WHO trusts healthcare workers with minimal relationships to adolescents as better judges of what is in their best interests than their own parents.

The WHO guidance makes two recommendations: that BSC should be provided for both adults and adolescents, and that healthcare providers at all levels should be trained to do it. WHO grades these recommendations as “strong” despite the quality evidence supporting both being low.

Throughout the guidance, WHO takes care to refer to the recipient of these communications as the “client” rather than the “patient,” in order to avoid giving the impression of a “hierarchy in which the health-care provider knows best,” but it is unclear if or how they are meant to convey this to the person seeking care, who may feel intimidated regardless. Of particular concern, the BSC approach is proposed for use with adolescents – defined by WHO as ten to nineteen years of age – under confidential circumstances and without parental consent.

WHO refers to the BSC approach as being a “necessary” intervention for adolescents, although it “should not be chosen in preference over other effective interventions such as comprehensive sexuality education in schools.”

While WHO occupies a place of great influence in matters of public health, and has made great progress in reducing and even eradicating some of the world’s most dangerous diseases, its continuing pressure on issues of sexual morality threatens to erode its reputation and trust among more conservative governments. In particular, its 2012 technical and policy guidance on abortion urged that medical care standards be lowered to maximize the availability of abortion.

As with previous sessions, the 2015 World Health Assembly—the governing body of the WHO- -is continuing to debate health standards and practices that are controversial in many countries, some of which have been explicitly rejected by the world’s governments. “Comprehensive sexuality education” (CSE) is a particularly hotly debated term, and some member states’ objection to it was a major reason for the failure of the recent Commission on Population and Development to produce an agreed outcome.

Meantime, the WHO secretariat– the bureaucratic support system of that governing body–has issued several recommendations, including one on adolescent health that has as one of its five guiding principles the notion that young people as young as ten should be able to have a “safe sexual debut, when ready and wanted.

C-Fam has issued a briefing paper discussing the problems with the WHO’s guidance on BSC, which can be accessed here.

The Abortion "Clinic" & The Fear Of The Lord

Abolish Human Abortion: After engaging a young man who had brought his girlfriend to the child-sacrifice center to murder their child and about an hour of preaching and pleading as they waited inside, they emerge having turned back from killing their child. When asked "what changed your mind" the girl softly replies "y'all telling me I would stand before God one day." We pray that her fear of God would also lead to knowledge of God and faith in His Son Jesus Christ unto the salvation of their souls.

Las Vegas High School Denies Pro-life Club!

by Kristan Hawkins, President, Students for Life: This morning, one of Students for Life’s brave high school student leaders was on Fox News. I’ve got to share with you her story.

Angelique has been trying to start her Students for Life club since last December and has been getting significant pushback from her school administration at West Career and Technical Academy (WCTA) in Las Vegas.

After submitting all of the necessary paperwork and recruiting more than enough club members, Angelique's vice principal, Mr. Allen Lee, told her that abortion is too controversial, which is a typical response we hear from administrators.

(By the way, the school has a Gay-Straight Alliance club…but apparently that isn’t controversial!)

But here’s what he told her that really put me over the edge ---

Mr. Lee told Angelique that there are “far more qualified” people to talk about abortion than a 16-year-old high school sophomore!!

Not only is Angelique articulate and razor smart but she is passionately pro-life, having researched abortion all on her own and come to the conclusion that it is truly the greatest human rights violation of our time.

It is this generation that has grown up with the technology to see inside the womb, to know that a baby is growing inside his or her mother and has every right to life as anyone else. They know that abortion ends that life. They have seen their brothers and sisters before they were even born. In addition, it’s this generation who is directly targeted by Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry for business!

I can’t think of a more qualified generation to talk about abortion than this one!

So last week, with the help of our attorneys at the Thomas More Society, we sent a demand letter to the principal at WCTA, Amy Dockter-Rozar, and to the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, reminding them of Angelique’s free speech rights and demanding that they approve her club immediately, before the end of the school year, which is next week.

Today, I’m on a huge time crunch and need your help! We need to get Angelique’s club approved ASAP, so she can start helping pregnant students in crisis and educating her peers on abortion right away and can host events right at the beginning of next school year.

Can you send a brief email to Principal Amy Dockter-Rozar to tell her to approve the Students for Life club now?

Angelique and her fellow pro-life students have not only been censored and discriminated against but are being unfairly belittled for being pro-life.

Go here to send your message now: https://sfla.webconnex.com/wtca

Thank you and we will keep you updated on any developments in Angelique’s case!

White House Secretly Mandating that Faith-Based Grantees Accept Transgender Job Applicants

WASHINGTON — A whistleblower inside the Obama administration revealed to the Friday Fax that the White House is quietly moving forward with a policy change that will require all charitable humanitarian groups to accept LGBT applicants in order to qualify for government funding, even religious groups with sincere religious objections.

The policy change is linked to an executive order President Obama issued last July that prohibits federal contractors from discriminatory hiring practices based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

“Faith-based contractors were already wrestling with that insensitive order,” said Austin Ruse, President of C-Fam. “Things are about to get exponentially worse for the far greater number of faith-based groups who receive financial grants to perform humanitarian tasks.”

The executive order last summer related only to federal contractors not to grant recipients. Nevertheless, the White House recently directed federal agencies to include the “sexual orientation and gender identity” mandate in all grant agreements as well. The US Agency for International Development has agreed to make this change and is said to be weeks away from implementation.

According to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, federal agencies are being pressured to make this change quietly -- without a corresponding executive order. State Department lawyers have advised the White House that this change is not a legal matter but a matter of policy, according to the source.

“The implications of this change are devastating,” said Ruse. “Faith-based charities who serve the poorest of the poor around the globe will be forced to end vital programs if the White House disqualifies them.”

“Here is another example of this administration’s hostility toward people of faith and the people they serve,” Ruse added.

For more detail and analysis see the Friday Fax published at c-fam.org.

Democrats Can’t Think of Single Thing Pro-Abortion Hillary Clinton Accomplished

YouHitNews:  For his With All Due Respect show on Bloomberg TV, Mark Halperin sat down with a focus group of Iowa Democratic voters to discuss Hillary Clinton‘s prospects for the 2016 presidential election.

While the group fawned over the former First Lady’s personality and politics (one called her a “bad mama jama”), they were stumped when Halperin asked them to name a single accomplishment of Hillary Clinton’s during her tenure as Secretary of State.

The responses ranged from “I really can’t name anything off the top of my head” to “Give me two minutes” to “I honestly can’t say I followed along everything that was going on” to outright “No.”

Washington Post‘s “The Fix” blog noted that while it’s stunning that some of her biggest fans cannot name her State Department achievements, “not being able to name specific things politicians have done isn’t that unusual for the average voters. . . .

Federal Court Forces University of Notre Dame to Obey Pro-Abortion HHS Mandate

A federal appeals court has denied a request by the University of Notre Dame to get out of having to comply with the pro-abortion HHS mandate that is a part of Obamacare and requires businesses and church groups to pay for abortion-causing drugs for their employees.

Notre Dame won a victory at the Supreme Court earlier this year. After a lower court dismissed the lawsuit, in March the Supreme Court ordered the lower court to reconsider its ruling that denied a Catholic university the freedom to follow its faith. But, today, a panel of a federal appeals court ruled that Notre Dame must comply with the mandate.

SCOTUS blog has more on the decision the appeals court issued:
In a two-to-one ruling, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit cleared the way for a trial of the university’s challenge but denied any immediate religious exemption.

This marked the first time that a federal appeals court had rejected a claim that the Supreme Court’s ruling last June in the case of Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores should shield a non-profit religious organization from any role whatsoever in carrying out the Affordable Care Act’s contraceptive mandate. The issue seems certain to return to the Justices, probably next Term, although Notre Dame could try to get some temporary relief by returning quickly to the Supreme Court.

The university’s case has yet to go to trial in a federal district court, so the appeals court ruling was limited to denying preliminary protection for the university in the meantime.  Still, it was a strong signal that the Roman Catholic institution may have a hard time, at least in lower courts, getting an exemption.

Although the government has made clear that non-profit groups need to take only a minimal step to take advantage of a religious exemption, Notre Dame — like some other non-profits — has been arguing that even taking such a step would mean that it had helped to implement the mandate in a way that violates its religious opposition to birth control. . . .Read More at LifeNews.com

Planned Parenthood Leadership Knew That The Pill Would Increase Abortions

In 1973, Malcolm Potts, MD, the first medical director of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, stated outright: "As people turn to contraception, there will be a rise, not a fall, in the abortion rate."

And he was right. The number of US abortions doubled between 1973 and 1981.

That reality is not a comfortable one for today’s Planned Parenthood, since it uses “acceptable” contraception to make inroads into every area where it wants to promote “unacceptable” abortion.

Remembering Kermit Gosnell’s Victims by Protecting Other Women and Children From Abortion Industry

by Sarah Torre: Today marks the second anniversary of the conviction of Kermit Gosnell, the late-term abortionist who brutalized women and routinely killed living, breathing infants in his rundown West Philadelphia clinic.

The House is scheduled to vote (House passed bill) on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, H.R. 36, which would limit late-term abortions after 20 weeks, include stronger informed consent requirements and additional protections for children born alive after failed abortions.

Late-term abortion ends the lives of some 15,000 unborn children every year.

Protecting the safety of women and the lives of unborn children who are so close to being able to live outside the womb from late-term abortion is a policy the American people overwhelming support and our collective conscience demands.

Gosnell is currently serving a life sentence for first-degree murder in the deaths of three infants who were born alive after botched abortions. Among more than 200 other criminal counts, he was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Karnamaya Mongar, a 41-year-old woman who died from an overdose of anesthetic drugs during an abortion procedure.

The details of the Gosnell’s six-week murder trial were grisly. The pictures submitted as evidence are almost unbearable. According to the almost 300-page grand jury report, the murder of newborn infants after failed abortions was a regular occurrence during the 40 years Gosnell ran the clinic. One clinic worker estimated nearly 100 living babies were killed just moments after birth. Many of those murders followed failed, illegal abortions, attempted after Pennsylvania’s 24-week limit.

Gosnell’s disregard for the dignity of human life extended to the vulnerable mothers of the infants he was charged with murdering. Prosecutors and former clinic workers testified to the decaying, dangerous operating rooms, stocked with “filthy, corroded” instruments and outdated machines. Despite reports of death, injury, and dangerous conditions, Gosnell’s clinic went uninspected by the state for almost two decades.

In the wake of the Gosnell trial’s disturbing revelations, many are left questioning how the oft-repeated slogan of “safe, legal, and rare” abortions can continue to encompass late-term procedures. After all, just a few weeks earlier or a few inches within the womb, Gosnell would have been well within the law to take the lives of those near-viable infants.

There is broad consensus that late-term abortions shouldn’t take place—either within the filthy walls of 3801 Lancaster Ave. or the more sterile facilities of other providers.

The vast majority of Americans — including nearly 60 percent of women — support limits on dangerous and gruesome late-term abortions performed after 20 weeks. That’s five months, or halfway through pregnancy, when unborn children can feel pain and women are at increased risk for the negative effects of abortion.

National leaders’ failure to protect women and unborn children from late-term abortion has made United States’ policy on abortion extreme among developed nations. The U.S. is currently one of only seven countries in the world—in the company of North Korea and China—in which elective, late-term abortion after 20 weeks is allowed.

Which is why protecting women and children from the harms of late-term abortion is a good and long overdue step to restoring respect for the dignity of every life in law. But it cannot be the last.

Gosnell’s clinic, though one of the more horrific, is not an outlier in the abortion industry. Dozens of other abortion clinics across the country have faced investigations and criminal charges. Many continue their dangerous and life-ending work with little to no oversight or inspection.

Planned Parenthood, the leader in the lucrative abortion industry, performs over 300,000 abortions every year, while receiving over half a billion dollars in annual taxpayer funding. Yet, this is the same organization that allegedly turned a blind eye to the safety of women in at least two of its clinics, has been repeatedly accused of fraud, and opposes commonsense legislation that would protect infants born alive after failed abortions.

In light of the brutality that became commonplace at the infamous West Philadelphia clinic and has appeared elsewhere, both state and federal policymakers should also strengthen safety regulations on abortion clinics and end continued financial support for an industry that creates and supports the likes of Gosnell.

3801 Lancaster Ave. stands vacant today; its murderous owner justly behind bars. The victims of Gosnell’s “House of Horrors,” many of whom remain unnamed and unknown, can be remembered and honored by the protection of other women and children from the dangers of late-term abortion and recklessness of the abortion industry.

U.S. House Passes Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act

Bill Smith, ARRA News Service: At 5:33 PM, the U.S. House passed today H.R. 36 by a vote of 242 - 184. H.R. 36 "Will amend title 18, United States Code, to protect pain-capable unborn children after 20-weeks (5 months) of pregnancy up to the day of birth. Four Democrats voting for the bill and five Republicans voted against it. During the debate, 36 courageous pro-life champions in the House gave impassioned speeches in support of the bill.

Attention now turns to the United States Senate. Just because the Republicans have control of the Senate, doesn't mean getting a vote will be easy. While most Republicans in the Senate are pro-life, there are a few Republicans who are not. Then there is the Democratic filibuster.

President Obama has threatened to veto the bill.

Celebrating Mothers

by Alan Caruba, ARRA News Service: As someone who had the great good fortune to have had a remarkable mother, a woman who embraced being my Mother by providing unconditional love and support for my various activities and decisions over the course of my life, I approach the subject of motherhood with the knowledge that this does not apply to everyone.

I have friends whose mothers were true horror stories. One wonders how they survived theirs. And, of course, I can only approach the topic from a son’s point of view. A mother’s relationship with a daughter may differ, but I cannot speak to it. Daughters, too, have benefitted or paid a price for their mothers.

What struck me as I contemplated the forthcoming Mother’s Day was the way my Mother, born in the early 1900’s both loved being a mother and, well before the woman’s movement that demanded equality, was in the adult school workplace teaching the art of gourmet cuisine for some three decades.

Rebecca acquired a great following and her classes were always sold old. Mother, who occasionally expressed regret she had not attended college, had an encyclopedic knowledge, not only of food, but of wines. Not only would she author two cookbooks, she would become the first woman board member of the Sommelier Society of America.

Need it be said that dinner was the highlight of our days together, Mother, my Father Robert, and myself. An older brother was largely gone out of our lives as the result of service in the Army and marriage shortly thereafter.

Mother brought to her classes the philosophy she lived at home. My Father adored her. Their marriage exceeded sixty years together. He delighted in her success. That was reflected in an atmosphere of love that imbued our lives together.

Mother lived to age 98, passing away in 2002. A day never passes without thoughts of her. I was truly blessed in the same way my Father, her friends, and countless students felt. She imparted a philosophy that saw life as a constant opportunity to learn about one’s passions and to pursue them.

The modern American holiday of Mother’s Day was first celebrated in 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in Grafton, West Virginia. She had begun her campaign to have Mother’s Day become a recognized holiday in 1905, the year her mother passed away. As she put it, your mother is “the person who has done more for you than anyone in the world.” Several states officially recognized Mother’s Day and in 1914 President Wilson signed a proclamation creating Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May as a national holiday.

There have been men whose mother’s contributed in significant ways to the success they achieved. To call them Mama’s Boys is to realize that the relationship had both a good and not so good effect on them. Elvis Presley began his rise when he went to Sun Records in Memphis to record some songs as a birthday present for his mother, Gladys. He was her only child and had a very close, loving relationship. She was living with him at Graceland until she passed away in 1958.

Another Mama’s Boy was General Douglas MacArthur. The youngest of her three sons, when he went off to West Point, she followed, taking up residence at a hotel where she could keep an eye on him. Reportedly they got together for an hour after he dined with his fellow students. He, of course, grew up to lead America to victory in the Pacific Theatre of World War Two. There was nothing about him that suggested his mother’s close attention and love did anything but prepare with a great sense of self-confidence.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the only son of Sara and she was as controlling a mother as one could imagine. After he married Eleanor without Sara’s approval, she gave them a townhouse in Manhattan which connected to her own! Reportedly, Franklin latter admitted he had been terrified of her mother his entire life. That, however, did not interfere with his rising to become President and one of the great leaders of his times.

One might speculate that, for good or ill, being a Mama’s Boy, loved and/or controlled applies in some fashion to the sons of all the mothers.

The fortunate ones like myself can grow up to bask in the love of their mothers and look back on their lives together with memories that guide our present lives.

To me, motherhood, along with fatherhood, has surely got to be the most important job any woman or man can undertake.

Exchange on Marriage Was Troubling

Dr. Bill Donohue, Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights:: The oral arguments proved why the gay marriage issue is before the Supreme Court: radical individualism and radical egalitarianism are the driving ideologies.

In the second set of oral arguments, the word "dad" was never mentioned, and the word "father" was cited only once. "Mom" was mentioned once, and "mother" was never cited. There was zero discussion of religion. The words "right" and "rights," however, were cited 24 times, but the words "responsibility" and "responsibilities" were never mentioned. Neither were the words "kin" and "kinship."

In the first set of oral arguments, there was also no mention of "kin" or "kinship." The words "right" and "rights" were cited 91 times, but the words "responsibility" and "responsibilities" were mentioned only thrice.

It is not easy to discuss marriage and the family without mentioning kinship, or the responsibilities of mothers and fathers, but they managed to do so. With the exception of John Bursch, who argued the case for traditional marriage, words such as "biological father and mother" were avoided. "Rights," of course, rolled off everyone's lips.

In the first oral arguments, Justices Samuel Alito and Antonin Scalia raised the issue of religious liberty in relation to gay marriage. The answers were not reassuring. They were told that the states could provide protections, but Scalia kept reminding them that state laws won't matter if gay marriage is recognized as a constitutional right. He was questioning whether ministers would be required to perform gay marriages.

Alito asked if a religious school would be forced to provide married housing to a gay couple. After Solicitor General Donald Verrilli dodged it, Alito asked if the school could lose its tax-exempt status. Verrilli said he didn't know but conceded, "it is going to be an issue."

The radical agenda will not stop with gay marriage: The goal is to crush the churches. This is totalitarianism with a soft face.
