Tim Tebow Won’t Speak at Republican Convention, Calls News Reports a “Rumor”

Life News Update: Tim Tebow, the celebrated pro-life football payer, won’t speak at the Republican convention after all. He says early news reports that he would be speaking at the convention which will nominate Donald Trump for president “a rumor.”

The New York Times first reported on Tebow speaking at the convention. ...

But it turns out those reports are not accurate, according to Tebow himself.“I wake up this morning to find out that I’m speaking at the Republican National Convention,” Tebow said in a video posted on his Facebook page. “It’s amazing how fast rumors fly. And that’s exactly what it is, a rumor.”

Tebow was not on the speakers list put out by convention planners Thursday, but Republicans and Donald Trump officials said they hoped the Heisman Trophy winner would make an appearance next week in Cleveland.

It sounds as if he has a chip on his shoulder. If I was handed a ballot that had the option of Hillary or a box of rocks, I'd vote the box of rocks.
