Judge Roy Moore to stand Trial for opposing Gay 'Marriage'

by Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt: As I return from my trip to Alabama where I stood with Judge Roy Moore, the national headlines continue to roll in. Judge Roy Moore will stand trial that could remove him from office, because he believes in traditional marriage.

"Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore is headed to trial next month," reports AL Public Radio."

"The nine members of the Alabama Court of the Judiciary, mostly appointed by his past political opponent, Governor Robert Bentley, concerning whether Judge Moore's suspension should be lifted. They decided yesterday’s hearing wasn’t enough to address the ethics charges against Chief Justice Moore. The Chief Justice is accused of abusing his power as chief justice to promote an agenda against same-sex marriage." The Judicial Inquiry Commission says Moore encouraged the state’s probate judges to defy a U.S. Supreme Court decision that had already legalized gay marriage nationwide.

The trial will be on September 28th.

Judge Moore stood with me near the White House in 2006, both before and after I endured court-martial for praying "in Jesus' name" in my Navy Chaplain uniform outside of chapel. Now I stand with him. We had a revival prayer meeting last night, and whether this battle ends today or ever, we must stand with any official who obey's God's highest laws, even at great personal risk or cost.
