Abortions In The Old Dominion

by Tony Perkins: The state of Virginia calls itself a "commonwealth," a political body organized to protect and advance the common good of its citizens. But this week the Old Dominion's Board of health rescinded health and safety regulations put forth in the aftermath of the 2011 Kermit Gosnell "house of horrors" case, proving that in Governor Terry McAuliffe's Virginia, the only "good" worth seeking is the profit of his abortion lobby backers.

Kermit Gosnell was a national turning point in regulating the abortion industry because a grand jury found that this unregulated abortionist "killed babies and endangered women:"

What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels – and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths.States around the country began revisiting and updating their regulation of abortion providers, and many abortionists were investigated (including Steven Brigham's abortion practices in Virginia) and even shut down. In Virginia, the Board of Health was tasked with updating health and safety standards. But Planned Parenthood and its allies pushed back forcefully, helping to elect a pro-abortion Democratic governor.

Now, it's pay-back time, according to our friends at the Family Foundation:

On Monday, the $1 billion abortion industry got what it paid for; politically motivated protection from Terry McAuliffe. Despite overwhelming evidence uncovered by inspections of abortion centers, including bloody, unsterilized medical equipment, doctors and nurses not washing hands or re-gloving between patients, untrained and unaccountable staffing, and hundreds of other deficiencies, the Board of Health, populated by those who passed the Governor's pro-abortion litmus test, did as they were ordered and watered down health and safety standards.Read the rest here. From CDC standards for preventing infections to standards of medical care imposed on dental surgeons, the board repealed countless common-sense health and safety standards.

Perhaps most egregiously, the Board of Health overstepped its own mandate. It even granted the Commissioner of Health the power to overlook any (remaining) medical standards at will. An unaccountable government official will now have the power to turn a blind eye on the gruesome abortion industry.

Stay tuned -- it certainly appears the McAuliffe administration is ripe for a legal challenge for its blatant disregard of the law.

#Trump: Why Would an Evangelical or a Catholic or Anybody of Faith Vote for #Hillary Clinton?

Appearing on the Catholic television channel Eternal World Television Network program World Over, Republican nominee Donald Trump spoke on a variety of topics from abortion, to religious liberty, to Obamacare, to his prayer life. Trump gave measured answers and stressed the importance of preserving religious freedom in the United States. . . .

Raymond Arroyo cut right to the chase and asked Trump about his temperament on the campaign trail and how that would translate to a presidency. Trump said that as president, he would have a more measured attitude and would drop the “nastiness” that some have accused him of during the campaign. Trump assured Arroyo that he would be more measured as president than he was during the campaign.

The interview then shifted to social issues, and Arroyo questioned Trump about how he has shifted on the issue of abortion. Trump cited a couple that he knew that got pregnant and had differing views on abortion; one wanted to abort, and one didn’t. They had the baby, the baby is a “magnificent person” and the person who was pro-choice is now pro-life. Trump said that this couple was one of the reasons as to how he also evolved on the issue. He also compared his change of heart to that of Ronald Reagan, who also was pro-choice early in his political career. “I made the personal change, and I’m very happy with it.”

On the topic of religious liberty, Trump said that it was in “tremendous trouble” in this country, and that “faith-based” people are not accepted in this country. Trump also pledged to get rid of the Johnson Amendment, so that pastors and ministers can speak on the issue of politics without losing their tax exempt status.

Trump said that Clinton should do “more than apologize” for the various emails that made comments critical of Catholics and Evangelicals. He said that “anybody of faith” should not be voting for Clinton.

“Why would an Evangelical or a Catholic, or almost, you could say, anybody of faith, […] why would they vote for Hillary Clinton? And how could they vote for Hillary Clinton?” . . . Read More

Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Received Multiple Debate Questions Before Debate

Some of the answers that pro-abortion presidential candidate Hillary Clinton gave during both the primary and general election debates led some skeptics to wonder if she had received the questions beforehand.

Now new emails show the interim chairwoman for the Democratic National Committee and former CNN contributor Donna Brazile appears to have leaked more than one debate question to Clinton’s campaign staff ahead of debates. . . . .

In an email dated March 3, 2016, Brazile sent a note to Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, and the Democratic nominee’s director of communications, Jennifer Palmieri, titled “One of the questions directed to HRC tomorrow is from a woman with a rash.”

The body of Brazile’s email read, “Her family has lead poison and she will ask what, if anything, will Hillary do as president to help the [people] of Flint.”

“Folks, I did a service project today. It’s so tragic. And what’s worse, some homes have not been tested and it’s important to encourage seniors to also get tested,” she wrote.

Brazile seemingly leaked more than one debate question to the former secretary of state’s campaign team.

On March 12, Brazile reached out a second time to Palmieri to give advance notice of a certain question that would be asked the next day at a town hall hosted by CNN.

“From time to time I get the questions in advance,” Brazile, then a CNN as a political analyst, wrote. “Here’s one that worries me about [Hillary Rodham Clinton].”

From the pro-life perspective, Clinton during the debates made it clear that she wants a Supreme Court nominee who will support unlimited abortion.

Hillary Clinton reiterated her promise to appoint judges to the Supreme Court who will support Roe vs. Wade — the terrible Supreme Court decision that allowed virtually unlimited abortions throughout pregnancy for any reason. Roe has resulted in 59 million abortions on unborn babies over the last four and a half decades.

Clinton wants that to continue.

“Donald has put forth names of people he would consider, people who would reverse Roe v. Wade ,” Hillary complained.

“I want a Supreme Court that will stick with Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to choose,” she added.

Black Pastor Urges Christians - #Hillary’s #Deplorables: Vote for #Trump

In a New Video, Bishop E.W. Jackson points out that Christians who understand that it would be a sin to vote for Hillary Clinton, cannot allow misgivings about Donald Trump cause them to sit out this election. He is urging them to vote for Trump.

Says Jackson, “Christians cannot allow someone to become President who thinks of them as ‘deplorable’ and ‘irredeemable.’ Hillary and her comrades despise Bible believing Christians and slanderously label us ‘haters’ and ‘bigots’ who deserve to be silenced.”

Last week Jackson concluded a non-partisan five state tour to turn out the Christian vote in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida.

“With the Awakening Tour ending, I now want to speak strictly for myself as an American citizen. I believe that Hillary Clinton as President will be an unmitigated disaster for our country and the Christian community,” Jackson added

He points to the Wikileaks emails as proof of Clinton’s antipathy toward Christians. Clinton staffers referred to Protestants as “dumb” and Catholics as “pretentious.”

Clinton is in agreement with Civil Rights Commission Chair, Martin Castro, who claims “religious liberty” and “religious freedom” are a cloak to hide homophobia, Islamophobia, sexism and racism. “Our freedoms will be neither protected nor respected by people who hold these views,” states Bishop Jackson.

Jackson is calling on Christians to unite across racial and denominational lines to stop Clinton and protect their Constitutional freedom. Jackson says, “Devout Christians – Catholic, Protestant, black, white, Latino and others — will see their freedoms crushed by a Clinton presidency. On the other hand, Donald Trump whatever his flaws, has promised to defend our religious liberty. That fact alone is enough to compel Christians to vote for Trump over Hillary, and I believe that come Election day, we will.”

Federal Judge Continues Pattern of Blocking #Pro-life Laws

. . . Judge Thompson preliminarily enjoins two Alabama laws

U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson
by Dave Andrusko, NRTL News: To say that the courtroom of U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson is openly hostile to pro-life legislation almost goes without saying. He is forever and a day (and at extraordinarily length) excoriating pro-life legislation (admitting privileges, redirecting PPFA funding, and the like).

Today in another 100+page opinion, Judge Thompson wielded his judicial pen to preliminarily enjoin enforcement of two laws.

One bans the hideous dismemberment abortion technique in which a living, growing human being is torn apart and pulverized. Using steel tools, dismemberment abortions rip heads and legs off of tiny torsos as the defenseless child bleeds to death. Alabama is one of six states to ban dismemberment abortions along with Kansas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Mississippi, and (most recently) Louisiana.

The second law prohibits the issuing or renewals of a health center license to facilities where abortions are performed within 2,000 feet of K-8 public schools.

Of the latter, Judge Thompson wrote “that the state’s efforts to reduce disruption at schools located near two clinics placed an undue burden on women seeking abortion,” according to Amy Yurkanin of the Birmingham News. The law would have closed abortion facilities in Huntsville and Tuscaloosa.

The ban on dismemberment abortions allows for the use of a different technique but Thompson countered, ”As explained, in the absence of an injunction [against the law], Alabama women would immediately lose the right to obtain a pre-viability abortion anywhere in the State when they reached 15 weeks of pregnancy, whereas all the State will face is that a likely unconstitutional law passed by legislators will not go into effect.”

The Dismemberment Abortion Act passed the state House of Representatives, 74-26, the state Senate, 30-2, and was signed into law by Gov. Robert Bentley.

Bans against dismemberment abortions have passed in the other five states by similarly huge margins.

McDonalds Worker With Down Syndrome Celebrates 30 Years on the Job

A McDonalds worker in Australia is celebrating 30 years on the job — proof that someone with the disability can experience and enjoy life like anyone else.

Staff at the fast-food restaurant threw a party this week to mark the 30th anniversary of one staff member’s first day on the job. Russell O’Grady, 48, who has Down’s syndrome, first came to the restaurant on a work experience placement organized by a government program that provide job placement services for people with disabilities.

McDonald’s managers quickly recognised Russell’s commitment to the job – and three decades on he’s still there, working three days a week clearing trays, sweeping the floor and greeting customers.

“It really helps him, he gets a lot of social interaction and makes him feel like part of the community,” Jobsupport trainer Nikita Vandaru told dailytelegraph.com.au.

“When I watch him work, every second customer will stop and talk to him. He’s got a huge smile on his face every time they come.”

Pro-lifers, Stop Whining About Media Bias… #Facebook, #Tweet & Other Social Media

by Steven Mosher: An unbiased American media would simply report, straight up, on the stark differences between the presidential candidates on the life issues. Instead, the major media devotes almost no time to the questions—abortion, population control, euthanasia—that we and other pro-life Americans hold dear.

When news anchors and political correspondents do mention these issues, they make little effort to hide their pro-abortion bias. It has been this way for a long time, to be sure, but has recently gotten worse—much worse. This is why at least 65 mainstream media reporters were—and probably are — working closely with the campaign whose position on abortion and other social issues they agree with. (You get three guesses as to which campaign that is.)

So my advice to you is to banish ABC, CBS, and NBC from your living room. While you’re at it, stop watching the pro-abortion zealots at CNN, Bloomberg, and MSNBC as well.

In fact, with the exception of EWTN, CBN, and a few shows on FOX, you can probably turn off the television altogether, at least as far as the life issues are concerned.

Then turn on your computer and your smart phone …

You see, in the past, we pro-lifers have been largely powerless to challenge the anti-life narrative. Most of us have contented ourselves with complaining about the biased media to a few like-minded friends, since we were unable to reach a larger audience with our pro-life views.

That has now changed, and changed dramatically, thanks to Facebook, e-mail, texting and tweeting.

The fact is, nearly all of us now run our own small “media network.” By means of Facebook, e-mail, etc., etc., nearly all of us have ways of easily reaching hundreds, if not thousands, of people with our pro-life views—and the views of the presidential candidates.

So turn on your computer and your smart phone. Your job is to Facebook, e-mail, tweet, text—however you communicate with your friends--the following information, so they can make an informed choice come election day.

Ask them the following questions:
  • Did you know Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine want to force you to pay for abortions with your tax dollars? They have pledged to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which would mean taxpayer-funded abortion on demand. (More than two million people are alive today because of the Hyde Amendment.)
  • Did you know that Donald Trump and Mike Pence oppose using your tax dollars to pay for abortion, and they oppose abortion on demand.
  • Did you know that Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine support abortion on demand, even late in pregnancy, while Donald Trump has called late-term abortions “unacceptable.”
  • Did you know Hillary Clinton has pledged to appoint only pro-abortion justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, while Donald Trump has pledged to appoint only pro-life U.S. Supreme Court Justices? As the Court goes, so goes the lives of millions of unborn children for generations to come.
Remember: the mainstream media will never illuminate these differences for the voting public; it is too busy breathlessly reporting on the latest (fabricated) polls or the latest (distracting) allegations.

So turn on your computers and your smart phones. Time is short. Let’s get to work.

Hillary Clinton is a “Proponent of a Tyrant State Authorizing the Killing of Babies”

Father Frank Pavone: In the current election, the two major parties differ on abortion, as was clear from the discussion of the topic in the third presidential debate. The Republican party platform says “the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed.” The Democratic platform says that “we will continue to oppose – and seek to overturn – federal and state laws and policies that impede a woman’s access to abortion.”

In 1973, the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision permitted abortion throughout pregnancy, for any reason or no reason at all. Though weakened over these 43 years by subsequent jurisprudence, the decision still stands in its core holding: child killing is permitted.

This raises a fundamental political question: Does government have the authority to permit child-killing? And if it does permit it, what kind of a government does it become?

And though abortion is an issue in this year’s election, the question is not being adequately expressed or even grasped.

Many Democrats, while holding to Roe, will nevertheless try to argue that they want abortion to be rare and that they are working for policies to accomplish that. We should all be working, across partisan lines, to accomplish that.

But that dodges the core question. While boasting of efforts to reduce abortion, they still think it should be allowed.

Let me repeat the core question is: Does government have the authority to permit child-killing?

Look at it this way: What kind of government do we have? What kind of authority do the candidates think we are giving them if we elect them? Are we giving them power over life and death? Are they the arbiters of our rights, or rather the guardians of our rights?

This is no small question. If a candidate or a party believes that abortion can or should be legal, they believe in a different kind of government from what our Founding Fathers established. In the Founders’ views, expressed in the Declaration of Independence, government does not have authority over the right to life. The right is given by God, and “to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men.”

Either government can authorize the killing of a baby – in which case it is claiming no longer to be bound to secure the right to life – or it must protect a right that “cannot be infringed” because it was granted by the creator.

Pope Saint John Paul II zeroed in on this point in one of his most important documents, the encyclical Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life):

“This is what is happening also at the level of politics and government: the original and inalienable right to life is questioned or denied on the basis of a parliamentary vote or the will of one part of the people – even if it is the majority. This is the sinister result of a relativism which reigns unopposed: the ‘right’ ceases to be such, because it is no longer firmly founded on the inviolable dignity of the person, but is made subject to the will of the stronger part. In this way democracy, contradicting its own principles, effectively moves toward a form of totalitarianism. The State is no longer the ‘common home’ where all can live together on the basis of principles of fundamental equality, but is transformed into a tyrant State.”

Note that he does not simply claim that legalizing abortion is a bad policy. There can be many bad policies on which candidates and their parties disagree, and about which they debate and try to persuade their constituents. Candidates, for instance, can argue about the best way to reduce crime or protect people from terrorist attacks. But these debates are about how to protect the people, not whether to protect them. We don’t hear anyone campaigning for “the right to crime” or “the right to terrorism.”

But when it comes to the right to life, the debate is not about how best to protect children, but indeed whether to protect them at all. It is not a disagreement about what policy best implements a mutually accepted principle; it is a disagreement over whether to accept the principle.

And the principle is that no government can authorize the killing of a baby.

When it does, John Paul declared in his encyclical that such a government “is transformed into a tyrant state.” He says this is a “tragic caricature of legality,” “the death of true freedom,” and indeed, that in this case “the disintegration of the State itself has already begun.”

To think of this as “one issue,” or even simply as the most important issue, falls far short of the reality. This question is the foundation of every issue and the foundation of the political and human community itself.

It’s time for the candidates to fully answer this question, and it’s time for the voters to challenge them to do so. It is also time for all of us to recognize a key fact about Hillary Clinton and the Democrats: They are proponents of a tyrant state.

Hillary Clinton Plans on Forcing Doctors to Perform Abortions

Austin Ruse, President, C-FAM: Wikileak emails have exposed that Barack Obama tried to violate US law and policy by funding abortions overseas. This effort was blocked by abortion groups because they objected to proposed conscience protection for reluctant doctors and nurses. Emails between Clinton staffers show that she intends to use US funds to perform abortions overseas AND not allow doctors to opt out. This is explosive. Dr. Susan Yoshihara reports.

A new report from the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that the powerful agency intends to use bullying as a pretext to impose gay, lesbian and transgender ideology on reluctant governments. They are doing this in cahoots with the radical Dutch government. Dr. Marianna Orlandi uncovered this and reports.

At Turtle Bay & Beyond, we report on a remarkably candid conversation between a New Zealand delegate and the chairman of the chairman of a UN human rights treaty body. The conversations gives the lie to the proposition that reproductive health has nothing to do with abortion. He is also very candid about how these treaty monitoring bodies abuse the human rights system to promote abortion. Stefano Gennarini J.D. reports.

Kristan Hawkins: I Am Voting for Donald Trump and Pro-Life Voters Should Too. Here’s Why

Kristan Hawkins: To my co-laborers in the pro-life generation,

No presidential election in recent memory has presented two candidates who were more disliked, even by their own parties. Indeed, not only active party members, but also a significant majority of ordinary, grassroots Americans – especially millennials – really don’t like Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.

The fact remains that one of these candidates will become the President-elect in less than two weeks; President Hillary or President Donald will be inaugurated come January 20th. So, does our distaste for these Worst Ever candidates mean that we leave the presidential ballot bubbles unmarked or that we vote for a third-party candidate who doesn’t stand a chance of winning?

The bottom line is this: As those who want to see abortion abolished in our lifetime, what is our moral obligation when voting for President?

It’s our privilege and responsibility as American citizens that requires us to vote. And like many decisions I’ve had to make as an adult, I’m going to have to choose between two bad options.

And I believe that choice on November 8th is simple. We have to vote for the candidate who will advance our mission of ending abortion.

However, it’s not a mere pro-life vs. pro-choice decision. For me and many others it will be an anti-abortion vs. pro-abortion decision. This is an important distinction. While being anti-abortion and pro-life often go hand and hand, that’s sadly not an option this time around. . . .

[H]is unprecedented, public pledges that no other “pro-life” candidate has ever made so clearly to defund Planned Parenthood if they continue to commit abortions, ensure the Hyde Amendment becomes law of the land, ban painful 20-week plus abortions, and only appoint justices who promise to overturn Roe and Doe, make him anti-abortion.

It’s a huge victory in and of itself that Donald Trump proudly states that he is anti-abortion. In every other recent presidential election, abortion has always been an issue that the Republican candidate dances around and avoids speaking about directly. . . . Read More

Donald Trump Slams Hillary Clinton for Bashing Catholic Voters: “She Should Apologize”

Donald Trump is slamming the campaign of pro-abortion candidate Hillary Clinton over recent emails from her top campaign staff trashing Catholic voters. Like millions of Catholic voters, Trump is concerned about the recently leaked emails from WikiLeaks that show top Clinton staffers calling Catholic voters “severely backwards.”

Trump said his pro-abortion rival should apologize.

Podesta appeared to write in emails that the campaign had created Catholic groups to organize on issues like contraception. Trump questioned how any Catholics or evangelicals could vote for her after the emails were leaked.

“It’s her. It’s her,” Trump said. “She should apologize. I think she has to do more than apologize. You know, that’s her thinking. That’s her staff.”

Trump also appealed to both Catholic and evangelical voters by saying he would get rid of the Johnson Amendment. . . . Read More

Hillary’s wrong again—Harvard poll shows strong Majority of Americans oppose using Medicaid funds for abortion

Poll conducted for POLITICO Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health released today shows that she is on the wrong side of still another abortion-related issue. Americans overwhelmingly do not want their tax dollars siphoned off to pay for abortions. The margin among likely voters was a whopping 22 points—58% to only 36%.

Why is this significant? Because the question is really asking about the Hyde Amendment, a provision that is attached to the annual appropriations bill that covers many federal health programs (including Medicaid), which has stood the test of time and which Clinton and the Democrat Party is dead-set on eliminating. To quote the Democrat Party platform, “We will continue to oppose—and seek to overturn—federal and state laws and policies that impede a woman’s access to abortion, including by repealing the Hyde Amendment.”

When you understand that at least two million people escaped with their lives because of the Hyde Amendment, you easily appreciate why PPFA so hates the now 40-year-old provision and why PPFA’s candidate, Hillary Clinton, even more so.  . . . Read More

United Nations Pushes Abortion on Unborn Children of Refugees and Migrants

The United Nations General Assembly during the first ever Summit for Refugees and Migrants adopted the New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants which “expresses the political will of world leaders to save lives, protect rights and share responsibility on a global scale.” The Declaration includes commitments “to address current issues and to prepare the world for future challenges, including, among other things, to start negotiations leading to an international conference and the adoption of a global compact for safe, orderly and regular migration in 2018.”

A close examination of the noble sounding declaration, however, reveals that one group will not have their lives saved or their rights protected-unborn children.

In a long list of commitments, the Declaration regrettably includes in point #31 a commitment to “provide access to sexual and reproductive health-care services”. Abortion is considered by most to be a “reproductive health-care service”.

The following day, the insidious promotion of abortion was confirmed as a draft companion set of principles was released by Kate Gilmore, UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights and a former director of Amnesty International. Gilmore explained that the Principles and Guidelines, supported by practical guidance, on the human rights protection of migrants in vulnerable situations within large and/or mixed movements is meant to provide “brave principled leadership” to put the ideals expressed in the Declaration into practice. . . . Nurse Charged With 8 Counts of 1st-Degree Murder After Euthanizing Nursing Home Patients

Elizabeth Wettlaufer
Southwestern Ontario is shocked by the revelation of allegations that a nurse was responsible for 8 deaths in care homes in Woodstock and London Ontario.

As shocking as it is that Elizabeth Wettlaufer, 49, of Woodstock; has been charged with 8 counts of first degree murder in what is being defined as possibly the worst case of a seriel killer in Canadian history, we need to demand that an in-depth investigation be done into every care home in Canada, especially now that euthanasia and assisted suicide are now legal.

We should mourn the deaths of James Silcox (84), Maurice (Moe) Granat (84), Helen Matheson (95), Gladys Millard (87), Mary Zurawinski (96), Helen Young (90). Maureen Pickering (79) of Woodstock Ontario and Arpad Horvath (75) who was a resident at Meadow Park nursing home in London, but we must also recognize that these are a group of many deaths caused by people who falsely consider themselves angels of mercy in our medical system. . . . Obama Fights Back After Judge Blocks Transgender Bathroom Mandate

The Obama administration is appealing an injunction against its mandate for transgender bathrooms in public schools.

Last Tuesday, U.S. District Court Judge Reed O'Connor rejected the Justice Department's request to limit his nationwide injunction against enforcement of Obama's redefined Title IX law that mandated opposite sex use of showers, locker rooms, and toilets. Obama threatened public schools with losing federal funding if they failed to comply. . . .

"President Obama's obsession with this destructive transgender ideological agenda exposes his rank opposition to Constitutional rule as well as natural law and biological reality," Arthur Christopher Schaper, director of California MassResistance, told LifeSiteNews. Schaper said the issue is a civil rights one. It is not about the "right" of gender-confused children to use opposite sex bathrooms but the right of citizens and schools not to have transgender ideology forced upon them.

"Male and female are clear, distinct identities, and any attempt to ignore or remove recognition of these distinctions is destined to fail, hurting children physically, mentally, and spiritually, and undermine the long-held truths of our society," Schaper said. . . .

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton believes this is an issue of executive overreach. He commented that Texas won’t sit idly by as President Obama "ignore(s) the Constitution" and added, "The president cannot rewrite the laws enacted by the elected representatives of the people and then threaten to take away funding from schools to force them to fall in line."

The issue of transgender use of opposite sex intimate facilities has created contrary opinions from the nation's courts. The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Virginia ruled the Obama transgender school mandate was constitutional and issued an injunction allowing Caitlyn Grimm, a transgender girl who changed her name to Gavin, to use the boys' facilities. The U.S. Supreme Court temporarily stayed that injunction.

The day after Judge O'Connor granted the nationwide injunction, Paxton sued to also block Obama's new health care transgender accommodation mandate against physicians, hospitals and insurers. . . . Read More

Fact-checking: Yes, Hillary Support Unrestricted Abortions

Before the lights were out on Wednesday night's final presidential debate stage, partisan groups were frantically spinning candidates' words and "fact-checking" candidates' claims.

It has become common for "fact-checking" groups to arbitrate what is true and what is false. But the "fact-checkers" themselves are often biased and do not always present the truth.

Such is the case with some "fact-checking" outlets Thursday claiming that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump lied Wednesday night when he said Democratic rival Hillary Clinton supports unrestricted abortion throughout pregnancy. . . .

But the fact is, abortion until the moment of birth is legal in the United States. Perfectly healthy babies at seven, eight, and nine month’s gestation are aborted every day.

Roe v. Wade was accompanied by a simultaneous joint decision, Doe v. Bolton, which the U.S. Supreme Court said must be enforced together. In Roe, the court ruled that unrestricted abortion-on-demand is legal up to "viability," and after viability in cases of rape, incest, or the "health" of the mother. In Doe, the court ruled that the mother's "health" must be defined so broadly as to include mental state and disposition.

The nation's highest court ruled that as far as legally obtaining a late-term abortion, "health" must encompass “physical, emotional, psychological, familial … well-being.” This is what allows any abortionist to legally kill any baby right up to her due date.

Some abortionists sign off on girls getting late-term abortions for “mental health reasons.”

It is this joint Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy, and essentially for any reason. And Clinton has repeatedly stated her absolute, unwavering devotion to that Supreme Court ruling.

While for the record, seven states have no age restriction on abortion, the remaining 43 states have exceptions that can and are being used by abortionists to legally justify abortion at any gestation throughout the nine months of pregnancy.

The federal government admits this. At its peak year, 30,000 late-term abortions occurred in the U.S., the Center for Disease Control reported. More recently, the CDC reported 1.3 percent of annual abortions — 13,000 viable babies — were late term.

Trump is, tragically, right: Abortion is legal in the U.S. right up until the moment of birth.

As for Clinton's support of unrestricted abortion, that is a matter of record. She has repeatedly stated her unequivocal support for Roe and abortion “rights.” She has said preborn babies do not have the right to life. . . . Clinton's Democratic platform is blatantly pro-abortion, not only opposing any restrictions on abortion but supporting taxpayer-funded abortion both nationally and worldwide. She seeks to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which disallows government funding of abortion. . . . Read More

Pro-Abortion “Hillary Clinton as President Will be an Unmitigated Disaster for Our Country”

Four years ago Bishop E.W. Jackson released an explosive video, seen by millions, compelling black voters – especially Christians – to abandon the Democratic Party.

In a new video released this weekend Jackson claims that poverty, violence and family breakdown in the inner cities, are the direct result of Democrat policies. The Bishop says, “Their policies have rewarded the absence of men in the home, disintegrated the black family, contributed to more black poverty, gangs, crime, violence and rampant drug addiction.”

Speaking to black Christian voters in particular, Jackson says, “the Democratic Party has also become anti-God, anti-Christian, and anti-Bible. Today’s Democrat Party does not represent the values of black Christians and churches.”

This week Jackson concludes a non-partisan five state tour to turn out the Christian vote in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. Says the Bishop, “With the Awakening Tour ending, I now want to speak strictly for myself as an American citizen. I believe that Hillary Clinton as President will be an unmitigated disaster for our country, the black community and Christians of all backgrounds.

He believes that Hillary Clinton is counting on the short memory of black voters and that they will accept her racial pandering. “Mrs. Clinton thinks that the black community will not remember that she described young black men as ‘super predators,'” says Jackson, “and that she and President Clinton introduced the policies which led to mass incarceration of black men. . . ."

In the video, Bishop Jackson urges black voters to give Republicans and Donald Trump a chance since Democrats have failed miserably.

Jackson is calling on Christians to unite across racial and denominational lines to stop Clinton. Says Jackson, “Devout Christians – Catholic, Protestant, black, white, Latino and others – will be persecuted under a Clinton presidency. She believes that our First Amendment claims are a cover for homophobia, Islamophobia, sexism, hatred and bigotry. Donald Trump has promised to defend our religious liberty.” . . . Read More

Hillary Clinton is Lying, Late-Term Abortions are Rampant in the United States

Hillary Clinton claimed during the presidential debate last week that late-term abortions don’t occur within the United States, and the liberal media was right there to back her up.

But Operation Rescue has video evidence of notorious abortionist George R. Tiller describing a method that murders pre-born babies at nine months.

Hillary and the liberal media are telling blatant lies to the American public!

This late-term abortion method kills babies as late as 35 weeks – well beyond the time a pregnancy is viable and an infant would survive outside the womb – and it is readily practiced in at least four abortion clinics within the U.S.

While we know nine month abortions are happening in New Mexico, Maryland, Colorado, and California, seven- and eight-month abortions are happening all throughout the country.

Even though partial birth abortions were banned by the Supreme Court years ago, it hasn’t stopped the abortion industry monsters from killing babies days before they would be born. . . .

The radical Left is trying to lead the American people to believe that abortion is a peaceful, harmless, and accepted practice… but Operation Rescue has uncovered a mountain of evidence that shows just the opposite. . . .

No one wants to believe that a child who is about to leave their mother’s womb would be injected with chemicals and brutally murdered.

But it happens all of the time within our country, and Operation Rescue will not rest until we’ve banned late-term abortions and shut down every “house of horrors” in the United States.

The nine-month abortion procedure includes a series of injections, and after a few days it gives pre-born babies a fatal heart attack.

Right now, if a baby is murdered by this method at 35 weeks… the “doctor” and the mother can walk away like nothing has happened.

But if that same baby was born at 35 weeks, then a doctor murdered this child outside of the womb, he would go to jail.

It’s time to stop splitting hairs.

The liberals don’t value the lives of pre-born babies, and Hillary Clinton is committed to giving Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry more of your tax dollars to if she’s elected. . . . Read More

Keep Congress Pro-Life, Here are Pro-Life Senate Candidates Who Need Your Help

As National Right to Life has explained in elaborate detail, the next president will nominate a successor for the late Justice Antonin Scalia, and probably have the opportunity to nominate successors to at least two more justices. The United States Senate will confirm or block these nominees. Pro-lifers across the nation must remain focused on maintaining enough votes to confirm pro-life justices.

The next Senate will also decide whether to advance pro-life legislation, such as the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and the Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act.

So, yes, elections matter. Your vote matters.

Remember, even if you don’t live in one of the key states we will be looking at, you may have family or friends (or friends of friends – that’s how social media works!) in these states. So please direct your contacts to www.nrlpac.org early and often for voting information.

Given the level of misinformation, some things bear repeating to anyone you discuss elections, voting, or the pro-life cause with.

OVERVIEW - This year, there are 34 U.S. Senate seats up for election: 10 Democrat seats and 24 Republican. All of the Democrats up for re-election are pro-abortion. According to Cook Political Report, only one Democrat seat is currently rated a “toss-up.”

Sadly, 6 Republican seats are listed as “toss-ups,” while two more are leaning toward the Democrats! Democrats need a net gain of five seats to regain control of the Senate, or four if they win the White House. If they hold their one toss-up seat, win the two Republican seats currently rated “lean Democrat” and pick up two or three Republican toss-ups, pro-lifers will be hard-pressed to block pro-abortion policies, much less advance any pro-life legislation. . . .

NRLC’s MOST WATCHED RACES

Among the toss-ups, there is one (only one) bright spot. In Nevada, the retirement of Harry Reid (D), the leader of the Senate Democrats, creates a chance for pro-lifers to pick up a seat. Pro-life Congressman Joe Heck (R) will face pro-abortion former Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto (D) for this Senate seat.

Congressman Heck voted for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and he voted for the No Taxpayer Funding of Abortion Act. In contrast, Cortez Masto is supported by NARAL Pro-Choice America and EMILY’s List. She supports abortion on demand, and using your tax dollars to pay for abortions.

One seat currently held by a pro-life Republican is now rated “leans Democrat.” In Wisconsin, pro-life Senator Ron Johnson (R) faces pro-abortion former Senator Russ Feingold (D). Senator Johnson has a strong pro-life voting record. In contrast, Feingold supports the current policy of abortion on demand, and voted against the partial-birth abortion ban every chance he got. Feingold is also endorsed by Planned Parenthood, the nation’s leading abortion provider. (See how I worked that in? I won’t do it every time in this article, but put it in when sharing a new FaceBook post or Tweet.)

Pro-life Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) faces a tough re-election campaign against pro-abortion Rep. Patrick Murphy (D). Senator Rubio has voted prolife on every occasion. Murphy is a pro-abortion extremist who even voted against the bill to require care for babies who are born alive during an abortion. He voted against protecting babies capable of feeling pain from abortion, and co-sponsored a measure to invalidate nearly every state and federal limitation on abortion.

In New Hampshire, pro-life Senator Kelly Ayotte (R), who has a strong pro-life voting record, faces a tough challenge from pro-abortion Governor Maggie Hassan (D), who is supported by the radical pro-abortion group, EMILY’S List. Hassan supports using your tax dollars to pay for abortion, and as a state senator even opposed notifying parents before an abortion is done on their minor daughter.

In Pennsylvania, pro-life Senator Pat Toomey (R) faces a challenge by Katie McGinty (D), a pro-abortion candidate supported by EMILY’s List. McGinty opposes efforts to ban the brutal dismemberment abortion method.

In North Carolina, pro-life Senator Richard Burr (R) faces a challenge by former Assemblywoman Deborah Ross (D), a candidate supported by EMILY’s List. In the State legislature, Ross supported using tax funding for abortions, and when she was Executive Director of the ACLU’s North Carolina chapter, Ross even tried to take away a parent’s right to prevent an abortion from being done on their minor daughter.

Pro-life Congressman Todd Young (R) will face former Senator Evan Bayh (D) for Indiana’s open Senate seat. Todd Young has a strong pro-life voting record, but Evan Bayh, has voted to endorse Roe v. Wade, the radical Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion on demand.

In Missouri, Senator Roy Blunt (R), a pro-life leader in the U.S. Senate with a strong pro-life voting record, faces a challenge from pro-abortion Secretary of State Jason Kander (D), who had an extreme pro-abortion voting record in the Missouri House of Representatives. He even voted against preventing abortions on babies who can feel pain (Missouri’s Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act).

Among races where the re-election of a pro-life Republican is rated safer but by no means certain, Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick (D), another pro-abortion candidate supported by EMILY’s List, is challenging pro-life Senator John McCain (R) in Arizona. Senator McCain’s pro-life record contrasts greatly with Kirkpatrick’s. She voted against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, and supports a bill that would invalidate nearly every state and federal limitation on abortion.

In Ohio, pro-life Senator Rob Portman (R) faces a challenge from pro-abortion Ted Strickland (D), a former member of the U.S. House and a former governor. Portman has a strong pro-life voting record, while Strickland had a pro-abortion voting record in Congress, voting against the pro-life position nearly 80% of the time in a 10-year span. Strickland has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood, and supports the use of tax dollars for abortion.

And finally, in Iowa, pro-life Senator Chuck Grassley (R), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, faces a challenge by pro-abortion former Lt. Governor Patty Judge (D). Senator Grassley has a strong pro-life voting record, while EMILY’s List and Planned Parenthood support Patty Judge. She would like to overturn the Hyde Amendment and force taxpayers to fund abortions.

Among the new pro-life challengers running for the U.S. Senate this year is pro-life El Paso County Commissioner Darryl Glenn (R) who is challenging pro-abortion Colorado Senator Michael Bennet (D). Michael Bennet voted against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, for taxpayer funding of abortions, and has been awarded a strong pro-abortion lifetime rating by Planned Parenthood. . . .

Donald Trump: “According to Hillary You Can Abort a Baby at 9 Months, That’s Unacceptable”

In a new interview with CBN, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump went after pro-abortion candidate Hillary Clinton’s radical abortion views. The interview comes on the heels of a national debate in which Trump and Clinton feuded over the issue of abortion.

During the debate Trump made it very clear that he will appoint pro-life justices to the Supreme Court who would be likely to overturn the Roe versus Wade decision that has led to 58 million abortions. Meanwhile, Clinton made it clear that she wants a Supreme Court nominee who will support unlimited abortion.

"... according to the rules of Hillary you can take the baby at nine months and you can imagine what you have to do to that baby to get it out,” he said to Robertson, “and you can take that baby at nine months and you can abort. And a day prior to birth you can take that baby. And I said that’s unacceptable.” . . .

Trump re-iterated that he will seek to appoint justices approved by the Federalist Society who are pro-life and support the Second amendment. . . . Read More

Terminally Ill Woman’s Insurance Company Will Pay for Her Assisted Suicide, But Not for Chemo

The Washington Times reported that the California Assisted-suicide law prompted an insurance company to deny coverage to a terminally ill California woman

Bradford Richardson, from the Washington Times reported that Stephanie Packer, a wife and mother of four who was diagnosed with a terminal form of scleroderma, said that her insurance company initially indicated it would pay for her to switch to a different chemotherapy drug based on the recommendation of her doctors but shortly after the California assisted suicide law went into effect, her insurance company denied her treatment.

Richardson reported Packer as saying: “And when the law was passed, it was a week later I received a letter in the mail saying they were going to deny coverage for the chemotherapy that we were asking for.”

She said she called her insurance company to find out why her coverage had been denied. On the call, she also asked whether suicide pills were covered under her plan.

“And she says, ‘Yes, we do provide that to our patients, and you would only have to pay $1.20 for the medication,’”Mrs. Packer said.

Stephanie Packer believes that legalizing assisted suicide creates an incentive for insurance companies to deny terminally ill people coverage. . . . Read More

Global Abortion Advocates Dispense with Mask of “Post-Abortion” Care

by C-Fam staff: A leading consortium of reproductive health advocates announced its intention to drop “post-abortion care” from its title and to begin campaigning for “comprehensive abortion care” instead.

At an event in Washington announcing the shift, one advocate said that sustaining post-abortion care was never the goal. “Post-abortion care” was meant to be an “entry point.” She then presented the strategy for what will now be the consortium’s open promotion of abortion.

The group was apparently emboldened by the liberalizing of abortion laws in developing countries.

Pathfinder International, the host of the meeting and the current administrator of the Post-Abortion Care (PAC) Consortium, is one of eight partnering organizations that since 1993 lobbied Western governments and UN agencies to allow family planning funding for abortion. Two of the biggest international abortion groups, International Planned Parenthood Federation and Ipas, also members of the PAC consortium steering committee, set the PAC strategy in motion defining the term that same year.

Post-abortion care is legal everywhere, since by definition it provides essential medical treatment to a woman suffering from complications of an incomplete abortion or spontaneous miscarriage. However, as Steven Mosher from the Population Research Institute points out, the reality on the ground is that abortion is often provided under the guise of post-abortion care.

The PAC Consortium annual meeting reviewed past success in promoting abortion in countries like Ethiopia, Egypt and Ecuador, presenting these as models on how to systematize abortion working within what is permitted by law. In Bangladesh where abortion is technically illegal, “menstrual regulation” was highlighted as the cover for a woman to abort.

As countries change their laws to allow legal exceptions for abortion, even in very restricted circumstances, consortium members work from within countries to broaden the application. Government officials and health ministers are lobbied by abortion advocates often equipped with the World Health organization’s guidance document on the roles of health care workers in providing abortion to help persuade officials to mainstream abortion by including it in family planning clinics where community health workers and midwives can be brought in to assist.

Ipas has long worked to promote abortion by a plastic manual vacuum aspirator (MVA) or by pills. The latter was facilitated by the inclusion of misoprostol to the WHO’s essential medicines list.

Abortion advocates lobbied for the inclusion of misoprostol to the list as a treatment for bleeding after childbirth, knowing its off-label use as an abortifacient would allow women to self-induce an abortion and then seek “post-abortion care.” Consortium members also cited WHO guidelines to promote “self-management abortion” to make abortion more convenient for poor women in less developed countries.

Members of the PAC, soon to be CAC or “Comprehensive Abortion Care” Consortium, asked presenters how the move from post-abortion care to comprehensive abortion care could jeopardize funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which has funded PAC programs since 1994.

Most of the organizations in attendance were USAID PAC grant recipients. The question was never answered though it was announced a subsequent meeting would be scheduled to discuss what participants called “an overly conservative reading of compliance” with existing U.S. laws preventing foreign aid funds being spent on abortion.

Consortium members spoke freely about their willingness to work with “extra-legal” groups which dispense abortion pills in violation of national laws.

Apologists For Partial-Birth Abortion

by Bill Donohue, Catholic League: Lying about abortion is a cottage industry, so it was hardly surprising to learn that pro-abortion advocates would label Donald Trump a liar for telling the truth about partial-birth abortion. "You can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month, on the final day," he said.

Trump was right: he offered an accurate account of what partial-birth abortion entails.

This did not sit well with the champions of abortion. Dr. Aaron B. Caughey, chairman of obstetrics and gynecology at Oregon Health and Science University, branded Trump's comment "absurd." He said, "I'm unaware of anyone that's terminating a pregnancy a few days prior to delivery of a normal pregnancy." Similarly, Erin Gloria Ryan, writing for The Daily Beast, said Trump was peddling a "myth."

Too bad these apologists didn't explain why the U.S. Supreme Court felt obliged to ban this barbaric procedure (in most instances) in 2007. If it were a fiction, what were the judges banning?

Their lame denials—have they ever heard of Dr. George Tiller or Dr. Kermit Gosnell—won't wash. Tiller performed over 60,000 abortions, many of them—he bragged about it—involving babies who were 80 percent born. Gosnell's "house of horrors" included the remains of babies he cut up just prior to, or after, birth. No wonder Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Ed Koch, both of whom defended Roe v. Wade, labeled partial-birth abortion "infanticide."

We've been down this road before. In 1995, Ron Fitzsimmons, executive director of the National Coalition of Abortion Providers, went on national television saying he "lied through [his] teeth" when he "just went out there and spouted the party line" about how rare partial-birth abortion is.

Apologists also contest what partial-birth abortion really is. Dr. Jen Gunter, for instance, protests Trump's comment about "ripping" the baby out of the mother's womb. She says "we don't 'rip' anything in OB/GYN." So what do they do? "We use sharp dissection and blunt dissection, but we don't rip." How reassuring to know that when a scissors is jammed into the skull of a baby about to be born that nothing is "ripped."

In 2004, Dr. Carolyn Westhoff testified before a federal panel on this subject. Here is an excerpt from the exchange during cross-examination.

Q: And at that point the fetus' body is below the cervix and the neck is in the cervix with the head still in the uterus, right?

Westhoff: Yes.

Q: And it's at that point that you take a scissors and insert it into the woman and place an incision in the base of the fetus' skull, right?

Westhoff: Yes.

Q: Now the contents of the fetus' skull, just like the contents of my skull, and your skull, is liquid, right?

Westhoff: That's right.

Q: And sometimes after you've made the incision the fetus' brain will drain out on its own, right?

Westhoff: That's right.

Q: Other times you must insert a suction tube to drain the skull, right?

Westhoff: That's right.

Q: And then the skull will collapse immediately after its liquid contents have been removed and the head will pass easily through the dilated cervix, right?

Westhoff: That's right.

Another tactic used by the apologists for partial-birth abortion is to take issue with the nomenclature. Dr. Caughey says that doctors like him "wouldn't use" language like partial-birth abortion. He prefers a more sanitized expression. He calls aborting an unhealthy baby at the end of term an "induction of labor for a nonviable pregnancy."

No doubt he calls "throwing up" by its medical term, "emesis." In all honesty, this is enough to make me puke.

Cardinal Dolan Blasts Hillary Clinton’s Catholic Bashing: It is “Patronizing and Insulting to Catholics”

After CBS and ABC ignored the WikiLeaks revelation that top Hillary Clinton staffers exchanged anti-Catholic rhetoric via e-mail and NBC only offered mere seconds to controversy, one would expect a major U.S. Catholic leader denouncing the comments would draw at least some media attention. However, after New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan condemned the “insulting” remarks and demanded an apology from the Democratic nominee’s campaign on Tuesday, the networks have remained silent.

In sharp contrast, during 7 p.m. ET hour pre-debate coverage on Fox News Wednesday night, anchors Megyn Kelly and Bret Baier provided full coverage of the new development. A report from correspondent Ed Henry featured a soundbite of Dolan’s statement:
“The remarks attributed to John Podesta, who is Mrs. Clinton’s chief of staff, are just extraordinarily patronizing and insulting to Catholics. What he would say is offensive. And if it had been said about the Jewish community, if it had been said about the Islamic community, within 10 minutes there would have been an apology.” . . .  Read More

How Can Tim Kaine be “Personally Pro-Life” If He Supports Abortion for Everyone Else?

There has been a lot of talk recently of politicians like Vice-Presidential candidate Tim Kaine who claim to be “personally pro-life.” While they say they do not support abortion personally, mainly because of their faith, they refuse to allow their faith to impact their public policy position.

This bears a question…if not for religious beliefs, why is abortion wrong?

At the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, we are a non-religious organization. We have people of all faiths, and some of no faith at all, who are part of our organization. We believe that being pro-life goes beyond one’s religious beliefs and is a basic human right. We believe every human life, from conception to natural death, has value, and deserves to be protected.

So how do we “prove” the preborn child is a human being? The good news is, we don’t have to…modern science and medical technology have already done so. Ultrasound images have truly become a window to the womb, where we can see a pre-born child reacting to his or her mother’s voice, dancing to music, and responding to stimuli.

Unfortunately, those who support abortion choose to turn a blind eye to science when it comes to fetal development. They ignore the discovery by researchers at Northwestern University of tiny sparks that erupt from the egg at the exact moment of conception. . . .

At the end of life, who decides what constitutes “quality of life”? Right now, the standard for [assisting in a suicide] is if they have less than six months to live. But what if someone decides to make that 60 months?

The fact of the matter is, once we go down the slippery pro-abortion slope of determining which lives are worth allowing to continue, and which should be terminated, whether for the convenience of others, or for any other reason, we can’t turn back. That is why the abortion issue goes beyond an issue of religious belief and is a human rights issue.

That is why those who claim to be “personally pro-life” should be fighting to protect all life. ....Read More

Hillary Clinton Defends Killing Babies in Partial-Birth Abortions: “Gov't Shouldn’t Step In”

Tonight, during the presidential debate, pro-abortion presidential candidate Hillary Clinton defended partial birth abortions on babies late in pregnancy. She said that she didn’t think the government should be stepping in to protect unborn children that late in pregnancy. . . . .

“I’m going to give you a chance respond but I want to ask you Secretary Clinton I want to explore how far you believe the right to abortion goes. You have been quoted as saying that the fetus has no constitutional rights. You also voted against a ban on late-term partial-birth abortions. Why? ” moderator Chris Wallace asked Clinton.

“I do not think the United States government should be stepping in,” Clinton said in defense of the partial-birth abortion procedure.

. . . Marjorie Danenfelser, the head of the pro-life women’s group Susan B. Anthony List, said Clinton’s response was unbelievable.

“Clinton defended her vote to protect this procedure confirming her view that unborn children have no rights up until birth. It is confirmed: Clinton supports unlimited abortion on-demand,” she said. “Clinton’s position on abortion is wildly out of step with the majority of Americans who support a compassionate limit on abortion after five months and who do not want their tax dollars used to pay for abortion on-demand. In pressing Clinton to state her opinion about the reality of the abortion procedure, Donald Trump did a service to all Americans. On this issue the contrast between the two candidate could not be more clear.”

. . . Meanwhile, Clinton’s claims are false.

A number of reputable doctors’ groups say there is no medical reason for a pregnant woman to have a partial-birth abortion. In fact, such abortions, which are at the center of a national legal debate, can be dangerous to women who have them.

These physicians say there is no truth to the claims made by the abortion industry that the second- and third-trimester abortion method is necessary for a woman’s health.

Groups including the Christian Medical and Dental Society, the Catholic Medical Association, the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, and the Physicians Ad Hoc Coalition for the Truth have all stated that partial-birth abortion is a dangerous practice for both mother and child.

The groups supported the federal ban passed by Congress and signed by President George W. Bush. . . . Read More:TEXT

Donald Trump: Pro-Life & Will Appoint Pro-Life Supreme Court Judges

During tonight’s presidential debate Donald Trump made it very clear that he will appoint pro-life justices to the Supreme Court who would be likely to overturn the Roe versus Wade decision that has led to 58 million abortions.

Trump said he is pro-life and the kinds of Judges he would put on the nation’s highest court are those that would be the kind pro-life voters would appreciate. For pro-life voters, the Supreme Court is probably the most important election issue this year as the nation’s highest court could control the fate of abortion for decades to come and whether another 58 million abortions happen or if unborn children will eventually enjoy legal protection.

“The Supreme Court – it’s what it’s all about. Our country is so, just so imperative that we have the right justices,” Trump said. ” I feel that the justices that I am going to appoint– and I’ve named 20 of them. The justices that I’m going to appoint will be pro-life. They will have a conservative bent.“ . . . Read More

Planned Parenthood Celebrates Centennial: 6,803,782 Babies Aborted

by Penny Starr: Planned Parenthood Federation of America marked its 100th birthday on Oct. 16, the day in 1916 that eugenicist Margaret Sanger opened the first "birth control" clinic in Brooklyn. Since 1978, Planned Parenthood, which is America's largest abortion provider, has ended the lives of approximately 6,803,782 babies.

That is the number of abortions Planned Parenthood has reported in its own documents. CNSNews.com obtained the Planned Parenthood annual reports, fact sheets, and service reports from 1978 through 2014 and counted the number of abortions that the organization said it had performed over that time frame.

To put that number (6,803,782 abortions) in perspective, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, the combined populations of Los Angeles and Chicago in 2015 was 6,692,379.

CNSNews.com obtained Planned Parenthood records from the organization and from Jim Sedlak, the founder of Stop Planned Parenthood (STOPP International) and executive director of the American Life League, which has collected Planned Parenthood documents for decades. These records included Planned Parenthood annual reports, as well as "fact sheets" and "service reports" published by the organization.

Although abortion was not legal when Sanger opened the first birth control office in Brooklyn, the procedure was legalized in the state of New York on July 1, 1970. The very next day, July 2, 1970, the New York clinic performed the first abortion, according to Sedlak. . . .
